Last night many of us turned off the TV and stepped up to the plate. We asked God for protection, for the Angels to stand shoulder to shoulder surrounding our island chain, the west coast and beyond. For those of us who believe in such things, we quickly threw up X-treme acrylic barriers and once we were sure they could withstand the onslaught, we began running our palms across the top of the water much as you would smooth buttercream frosting on a cake. In soft sweet tones, we began whispering to the ocean that we understood what it feels like to be thrown off-kilter but now it was time to stop the blind running and quiet itself, calm, settle, and all would be fine.
Now we refocus our energy on Japan. Won’t you join us? Wrap your arms around the father who needs comfort.
